The Code Compliance Process is focused on working with our community to gain compliance not to punish violators. Our goal is to discover the underlying conditions that lead to the code violation and work towards lasting solutions. This process is not always a quick one. Severe cases often require multiple departments working together towards abating a nuisance property. Please be sure you are reporting issues to all departments involved.

The Code Compliance team is frequently in the field so please leave any important details such as the location of the violation, any persons known, the specific code violation observed, and the time observed so we can open and investigate as quickly as possible. You may not receive a call back unless requested. Please note we make every attempt to return calls by the next business day. Some calls require answers from different departments or a field investigation which may delay a response.
We prioritize and investigate cases based on their potential to harm public health and safety or the environment. We can only investigate non-priority cases as time allows. Thank you for understanding.
