Submittals Document Requirements

Submittals are Documents that may be required for your permitted project.

Permit applications that require a submittal are typically projects that require a plan review.

Submittals will be documents such as construction plans, site plans, engineering calcs or specific forms that are required to be filled out.

Visit the Permits We Issues page to look up the permit that fits the work you are doing. View the list of submittals required for that permit application. Not all permits require a plan review or submittals. 

• Each required submittal, on the electronic application, will be required to be a PDF. Photos and screenshots are not acceptable formats. Hand drawn documents will need to be a scanned in to a PDF format.
• Each submittal document is to be uploaded as one PDF document. Example: Individual pages uploaded for a set of plans, or any other multi-page document is not an acceptable format.
• Construction Plans and Site Plans are to be drawn to scale and provided on a page that is no smaller than an 8 by 11.  
• New Construction Plans will be required to be submitted at full size. Once approved a full-size set will be required to be printed and available on-site with the department approval sign-off sheet.
• Listed submittal requirements that do not apply to your project, may keep you from submitting your application. If this is the case please contact the permit technician to review. (all required submittals will have a red asterisk next to the listing)
