Part-time Accounting Technician I
Salary Range 13: $18.84-$22.89/hour plus benefits

Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Finance Director, the Accounting Technician I performs administrative, technical and clerical work in support of the day-to-day operation of the Finance Department.
Requirements: Experience, education, or training which provides the level of knowledge, skill and ability equivalent to: High school graduation or GED plus one year accounting support or bookkeeping experience. Customer service experience a must. A valid driver’s license is desirable. Bilingual is desirable. Must be bondable.
This position handles multiple simultaneous projects for the Finance Department, including, but not limited to: Performs miscellaneous typing, filing and data processing; sorts and distributes City Hall mail; Performs cashiering function by receipting, balancing, and depositing cash and checks received by the City on a daily basis. Receipts financial transactions such as utility payments, license fees and fees collected by other departments. Successful applicant must be able to multi-task, work with constant interruptions and prioritize assignments as needs change from one moment to the next. Regular and reliable attendance and attention to detail are required.
