Duties and Services

Financial management support services include cash collections and depository activities, the investment of all City funds, the handling of connection and disconnection requests for utilities, responding to customer inquiries, and the resolution of credit and collection problems. Accounting support services include general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, public records, payroll and financial records keeping, reporting and analysis. Accounting personnel also maintain perpetual inventory records for all city owned fixed assets.

The Financial Services department also has key responsibility in generating the Preliminary and Final City budget, and in preparing the Annual Financial Report for the City. Other financial related reports are issued for management decision making and for external reporting purposes.

Our Department is located on the Ground Level of City Hall at 200 E. Market Street
